About

Welcome to Hope+Love. We believe in making style an experience that's not only beautiful but meaningful. By combining curated, quality clothing with conscious consumption, we've created a space where fashion-forward individuals can embrace their love for style while championing a more sustainable future.

By choosing Hope+Love, youre choosing:

  • Clothing that already exists
  • A slower, more intentional way to consume
  • A purchase that contributes to flourishing lives in the community through Hopefield

We take the overwhelm out of preloved shopping by doing the curating for you, selecting quality pieces and organising them into easy‑to‑browse collections. No endless digging through racks. Just clothing with plenty of life, ready for its next wardrobe.

Origin

Our Origin

Hope+Love began with people.

The original intention was simple: to support Hopefield in its mission to see individuals and families lead flourishing lives.  Lives marked by dignity, connection, wellbeing and hope. From the beginning, the goal was to create sustainable funding for essential community support, including access to mental health care, grocery support, advocacy and long‑term relational care.

We asked a simple question: What if we could do more with what already exists?
What if clothing already in circulation could be part of something restorative, supporting people while also reducing harm to the planet?

Hope+Love was born from that intersection.

We believe the circular economy isn’t an alternative option, it’s how things should be. A way of honouring resources, labour and environmental limits, while resisting systems built on overproduction and disposability.

Reducing textile waste matters deeply to us. But it follows our first commitment; to people, to community and to the belief that fashion can participate in wellbeing rather than excess.

Our Impact

Our Impact: Circular Fashion That Gives Back

Hope + Love exists at the intersection of environmental care and community support. Every Hope+Love purchase makes a difference.

  1. Supporting Hopefield: Hope+Love is a not‑for‑profit initiative that supports Hopefield, an organisation dedicated to walking alongside individuals and families facing life’s challenges. Through your purchase, you help fund practical, people‑centred support that’s grounded in dignity, compassion and hope.

  2. Circular Fashion reduces textile waste: By extending the life of clothing already in circulation, we help reduce textile waste and lessen the strain on our environment’s resources.

Why Circular Fashion Matters

Australia has one of the highest clothing consumption rates in the world. On average, each Australian purchases more than 50 new clothing items every year, many of which are worn only a handful of times before being discarded.

Each year:

  • Over 300,000 tonnes of clothing are sent to landfill or exported from Australia
  • More than 220,000 tonnes of clothing end up in Australian landfill alone
  • Less than 7% of textiles are recycled

Most of these garments could have been reused.

Circular fashion offers a practical solution — keeping clothing in use for longer, reducing demand for new production, and lowering the environmental footprint of what we wear. Buying preloved saves water, energy and resources already embedded in clothing and helps slow the cycle of overproduction and disposal.

Hope + Love exists to make this choice easier, more accessible, and considered.

Sustainability

Sustainability isn’t theoretical. It’s reflected in the everyday decisions we make — what we buy, what we reuse, and where we choose to spend our money. Fashion changes when we vote with our dollar.

By choosing preloved clothing, we keep garments in circulation for longer, reduce waste, and help challenge the idea that new is always better. Circular fashion is one of the most immediate, accessible ways to lower fashion’s environmental footprint.

Our approach is intentionally simple:

  • Preloved, thoughtfully curated clothing
  • Minimal, recyclable packaging

You’ll notice we use recyclable paper mailers rather than compostable ones. Compostable packaging often has a limited shelf life and requires access to appropriate composting systems. Too often, it ends up in landfill. Recyclable paper gives packaging a better chance of completing its lifecycle responsibly.

We’re not chasing perfection. We’re focused on progress,  thoughtful choices, made habitually. Because real sustainability isn’t performative. It’s practical, deliberate, and built over time.

Buy Less, choose well, make it last.
